    Contemporary challenges for positive psychology
Contemporary challenges for positive psychology Positive psychology is an area of scientific research and psychological practice that helps in building a good, joyful and passionate life in health and in cordial relationships with others. Positive psychology supports discovering human’s important life goals and experiencing successes. These tasks are part of improving the quality of life of a man, his family, organization or community. The mission of psychology understood in this way in general, and particularly positive psychology, is extremely current today, in times of changeability and uncertainty, but also the time of growing opportunities, a multitude of alternatives and diverse behavioural patterns. The conference called ”Contemporary challenges for positive psychology” will allow us to indicate current orientations for positive psychologists, researchers and practitioners and identify difficulties and gaps in supporting the quality of life. We will be able to look back - indicate empirical findings of positive psychology which help human’s development and what is only a myth, which therapies are effective and which ones have no scientific basis. The aim of the conference is to promote the idea of positive psychology, sharing the latest research but also methods and techniques to support clients in psychological practice. The conference will combine psychological science and practice, which will allow us to improve the knowledge of the current theoretical achievements in positive psychology and their use in psychological practice. We invite you to share your findings in this field, both academics and practitioners. The conference will be a unique opportunity to meet and exchange experiences for both psychologists and people dealing with personal development on a daily basis. Special guests of the conference will be: About the special guest: Professor Robert Vallerand is recognized as a leading international expert on motivational processes where he has developed theories dealing with intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, as well as passion for activities. About the special guest: Profesor Moïra Mikolajczak is internationally renowned expert on the topics of emotional intelligence and parental burnout, and she is currently one of the two leading figures in parental burnout research.
